John F. Lehman

Chairman, Founding Partner

Dr. Lehman is a founding partner of the firm and has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s private equity investment and management activities since JFLCO’s inception. As Chairman, Dr. Lehman provides strategic and oversight expertise and approves all capital commitments made by JFLCO. Immediately prior to forming JFLCO, he spent three years as a Managing Director in Corporate Finance at PaineWebber, Inc. where he led the firm’s Aerospace and Defense Group.

From 1981 to 1987, Dr. Lehman served as Secretary of the U.S. Navy. As the chief executive of the Navy, he was responsible for the management of 1.2 million people, an annual budget of $95 billion and total assets equivalent to those of the seven largest Fortune 500 corporations combined. Prior to serving as Secretary of the Navy, Dr. Lehman was President of the aerospace consulting firm Abington Corporation, served as a delegate to the Mutual Balanced Force Reductions negotiations, was the Deputy Director of the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency and served as a senior staff member to Dr. Henry Kissinger at the White House.

He has served on the boards of Ball Corporation, TI Group plc, Westland Helicopter plc, Sedgwick plc and many of JFLCO’s realized investments. He currently is a director of National Response Corporation, Trident Maritime Systems, Verisk Inc. and EnerSys. He is also Chairman of the Princess Grace Foundation and an Overseer of the School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lehman was also a member of the 9/11 Commission and the National Defense Commission.

A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Lehman holds a B.S. degree from St. Joseph’s University, B.A. and M.A. degrees from Cambridge University and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. For more than two decades, he flew various tactical aircraft for the Naval Reserve.

Louis N. Mintz

Partner

Mr. Mintz has been with the firm since 1997 and as a Partner approves all capital commitments made by JFLCO. Mr. Mintz has more than 20 years of private equity experience and has led several of the firm’s successful investments. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s activities including the acquisition, oversight and disposition of portfolio investments; he also oversees organizational design and relationship development with institutional investors. He has served on the boards of many of JFLCO’s realized investments, including Chairman of Drew Marine, and is currently Chairman of API Technologies and a director of Sprint Energy Services.

Prior to joining JFLCO, Mr. Mintz was a member of the Private Equity Investment Group at Odyssey Partners, L.P. and served as a Vice President at Rosecliff, Inc., where he was involved in all aspects of the acquisition and management of several portfolio companies. He began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in the corporate finance department.

A native of New York, Mr. Mintz graduated magna cum laude from Duke University where he received his B.A. in Economics and Public Policy Studies and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He serves as a Trustee of Congregation Beth Elohim, a landmark congregation founded in 1861 that is among the largest Reform congregations in Brooklyn, NY.

Stephen L. Brooks

Partner

Mr. Brooks has been with JFLCO since 1998 and as a Partner approves all capital commitments made by the firm. Mr. Brooks has 17 years of principal investing experience in the firm’s target markets and has led several of the firm’s successful transactions. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s activities including the acquisition, oversight and disposition of portfolio investments; he also oversees the firm’s sourcing and business development activities. He has served on the boards of many of JFLCO’s realized investments, including Chairman of ACR and Doss Aviation. He currently serves as Chairman of AGI and BEI PSSC, and as a director of Ravn Air Group.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brooks was a founding member of the Aerospace and Defense Group at Bowles Hollowell Conner & Company where he focused on private equity-related middle market mergers and acquisitions.

A native of Australia, Mr. Brooks graduated salutatorian and summa cum laude from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University where he received his B.B.A. in Finance and a minor in English from the College of Liberal Arts.

C. Alexander Harman

Partner

Mr. Harman has been with JFLCO since 1999 and as a Partner approves all capital commitments made by the firm. Mr. Harman has 16 years of principal investing experience in the firm’s target markets and has led several of the firm’s successful investments. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s activities including the acquisition, oversight and disposition of portfolio investments; he also oversees the allocation of the firm’s investment professionals and its financial management. He has served on the boards of many of JFLCO’s realized investments and currently serves as Chairman of Lake Shore Systems, American Scaffold, National Response Corporation, Sprint Energy Services, Ravn Air Group, Trident Maritime Systems and NorthStar, and as a director of BEI PSSC.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Harman was a member of the Global Energy Group at J.P. Morgan & Company where he focused on natural resources and utility-related mergers and acquisitions as well as debt and equity financings.

A North Carolina native, Mr. Harman graduated cum laude from Williams College where he received his B.A. in History with a concentration in pre-medical studies.

Donald Glickman

Founding Partner

Mr. Glickman is a founding partner of the firm and brings decades of principal investing experience as a mentor to members of the Investment Team. He has served on numerous public and private company boards, including many of JFLCO’s realized investments. He currently is a director of AGI, National Response Corporation, Sprint Energy Services, API Technologies and Monro Muffler Brake, Inc.

Prior to founding JFLCO, Mr. Glickman was a principal of the Peter J. Solomon Company and was a Managing Director of Shearson Lehman Brothers’ $1.3 billion Merchant Banking Partnership. Mr. Glickman also brings 15 years of corporate banking experience to JFLCO having served as Senior Vice President and Regional Head of the First National Bank of Chicago.

A New York native, Mr. Glickman holds a B.M.E. from Cornell University and received his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, where he was elected a George F. Baker Scholar. Mr. Glickman also served as an armored cavalry officer in the Seventh U.S. Army.

Glenn M. Shor

Managing Director

Mr. Shor joined JFLCO in 2010. He is actively involved with the firm’s investment in Doss Aviation, National Response Corporation, Sprint Energy Services and API Technologies, and has played a key role on numerous acquisition targets. He is currently a director of National Response Corporation, Sprint Energy Services, API Technologies and NorthStar.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shor was a member of the Private Equity Group at D.E. Shaw & Co. where he focused on private equity investments in the energy and media industries. Prior to D. E. Shaw & Co., Mr. Shor worked in private equity at Providence Equity Partners and in investment banking at Morgan Stanley.

A native of New York, Mr. Shor received his B.S. magna cum laude in Finance and International Business form the Stern School of Business at New York University.

David M. Ashcraft

Managing Director of Portfolio Operations

Mr. Ashcraft joined JFLCO in 2018 as Managing Director of Portfolio Operations. He is responsible for partnering with executive teams to drive growth and value creation across the JFLCO portfolio, as well as providing operational and strategic due diligence for acquisitions. He is currently a director of BEI PSSC, Waste Control Specialists and NorthStar.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ashcraft was a Senior Operating Executive at Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company (“COAC”), the proprietary operations team at Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. During his seven year tenure at COAC, Mr. Ashcraft was responsible for leading pre-acquisition due diligence and implementing strategic initiatives across portfolio companies. Prior to COAC, he was a Senior Director for nine years at AlixPartners, a premier turnaround and restructuring firm.

A native of Kansas, Mr. Ashcraft holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics and a B.A. in German from Washburn University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Larry J. Phillips

Managing Director of Portfolio Operations

Mr. Phillips joined JFLCO in 2018 as Managing Director of Portfolio Operations. He is responsible for partnering with executive teams to drive growth and value creation across the JFLCO portfolio, as well as providing operational and strategic due diligence for acquisitions. He is currently a director of AGI, Ravn Air Group and American Scaffold.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Phillips was a Resource Partner with Court Square Capital Partners and a Senior Operating Executive with Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company (“COAC”), the proprietary operations team at Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. In these positions, he focused on driving operational and financial transformation at a variety of portfolio companies and served as Senior Vice President of Operations at DynCorp International and Senior Vice President of Corporate Transformation at Formica Corporation. Mr. Phillips began his career in manufacturing and financial management at General Electric and also served as Vice President of Marketing, Finance and Corporate Operations at BigMachines, Inc.

A native of New Jersey, Mr. Phillips holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Lisa M. Steffens

Managing Director, Fund Finance and Investor Relations

Ms. Steffens joined JFLCO in 2006 and manages the administration of the firm’s private equity fund vehicles as well as investor relations. Her primary responsibilities include oversight of financial reporting to limited partners, year-end audits and coordination with the firm’s Advisory Committees and Operating Executive Board.

Prior to joining the firm, she was a Risk Consultant and Project Manager for the Shaw Group. Ms. Steffens also brings nine years of investment banking experience to the firm having served as a Director at Deutsche Bank and a Vice President at Goldman Sachs. Prior to investment banking, she was an Intelligence Analyst / Engineer for the C.I.A.

A Maryland native, Ms. Steffens graduated from M.I.T. with B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and French and earned an M.B.A. from Yale University.

David L. Rattner

Managing Director, Legal and Compliance

Mr. Rattner joined JFLCO in 2011, serves as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer and oversees the firm’s administrative functions and compliance with contractual and regulatory matters; he also coordinates the legal affairs of JFLCO’s investment vehicles and portfolio companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Rattner spent over eight years as general counsel of OAO Technology Solutions, a JFLCO portfolio company sold in 2010. In this role, he was responsible for all legal, regulatory and governance activities of the business. Prior to joining OAOT, Mr. Rattner held various general counsel and in-house legal positions at a number of companies ranging from start-ups to a Fortune 500 company. Mr. Rattner began his legal career as a transactional Associate at Skadden Arps.

A Pennsylvania native, Mr. Rattner earned a B.A. degree from Georgetown University and received his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

William J. Hanenberg

Principal

Mr. Hanenberg joined JFLCO in 2008. He is actively involved with the firm’s investment in American Scaffold, National Response Corporation and Ravn Air Group, and has played a key role on other JFLCO investments and acquisition targets. Mr. Hanenberg is currently a director of American Scaffold, BEI PSSC, and Ravn Air Group.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hanenberg completed two years as an investment banking analyst in Bank of America’s Global Industrials Group. Mr. Hanenberg’s professional experience also includes positions with Redwood Capital and Dealogic.

A native of California, Mr. Hanenberg earned a B.S. in Economics from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Michael S. Friedman

Principal

Mr. Friedman joined JFLCO in 2007. He is actively involved with the firm’s investments in AGI and API Technologies, and has played a key role on other JFLCO investments and acquisition targets. Mr. Friedman is currently a director of AGI.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Friedman completed two years as an investment banking analyst with Jefferies & Company’s Aerospace & Defense Group where he supported a wide range of transactions.

A native of Maryland, Mr. Friedman graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

David F. Thomas

Vice President

Mr. Thomas joined JFLCO in 2010. He is actively involved with the firm’s investments in Trident Maritime Systems, Doss Aviation, Lake Shore, NorthStar and Sprint Energy Services, and has played a key role on other JFLCO acquisition targets. Mr. Thomas is currently a director of Lake Shore Systems, Trident Maritime Systems and NorthStar.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Thomas completed two years as an investment banking analyst with Credit Suisse in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group where he supported a wide range of transactions.

A native of New York, Mr. Thomas earned a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.

R. Benjamin Hatcher

Vice President

Mr. Hatcher joined JFLCO in 2013. He is actively involved with the firm’s investments in Trident Maritime Systems, AGI, and Ravn Air Group, and has played a key role on other JFLCO acquisition targets.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hatcher completed two years as an investment banking analyst with Jefferies & Company’s Aerospace & Defense Group where he supported a wide range of transactions.

A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Hatcher earned a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.

Kevin Vallès

Vice President

Mr. Vallès joined JFLCO in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Vallès was a Senior Associate at JLL Partners, where he focused on private equity investments in the aerospace and healthcare industries. Prior to JLL Partners, Mr. Vallès worked in investment banking at Lazard.

A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Vallès graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in finance and operations.

Michael W. Cueter

Senior Associate

Mr. Cueter joined JFLCO in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cueter was a Associate at Olympus Partners, where he focused on private equity investments in a variety of business sectors. Mr. Cueter began his career in investment banking at Harris Williams & Co.

A native of Michigan, Mr. Cueter graduated with a B.B.A. from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan with concentrations in accounting and finance.

Jack H. Nagle

Associate

Mr. Nagle joined JFLCO in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nagle was an investment banking analyst with Morgan Stanley in the Financial Sponsors and Western Region groups in San Francisco where he supported a wide range of transactions.

A New Jersey native, Mr. Nagle graduated from Stanford University where he received his B.S. in Management Science & Engineering with concentrations in financial & decision engineering.

David B. Faust

Associate

Mr. Faust joined JFLCO in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Faust was an investment banking analyst with Wells Fargo Securities in the Financial Sponsors Group, where he supported a wide range of transactions.

A native of New York, Mr. Faust graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.

Tyler W. Creamer

Associate

Mr. Creamer joined JFLCO in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Creamer was an investment banking analyst with Deutsche Bank Securities in the Leveraged Finance Group where he supported a wide range of transactions.

A native of Rhode Island, Mr. Creamer graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University.

Alfred E. Johansen

Associate

Mr. Johansen joined JFLCO in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Johansen was an investment banking analyst with UBS Investment Bank in the Industrials group where he supported a wide range of transactions.

A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Johansen graduated magna cum laude from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College where he received a B.S. in Management with concentrations in finance and information systems and a minor in History.

Luke T. Zabinski

Associate

Mr. Zabinski joined JFLCO in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Zabinski was an investment banking analyst with Oppenheimer & Co. in Mergers & Acquisitions, Restructuring and Special Situations where he supported a wide range of transactions.

A native of New Jersey, Mr. Zabinski graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Operations Research and Information Engineering and a minor in Business from Cornell University.

Christine Rudisill

Controller

Ms. Rudisill has been with JFLCO since it was founded in 1992. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rudisill worked in the field of public accounting and internal auditing.

A native of Massachusetts, Ms. Rudisill graduated with a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland.

Michael P. Leber

Vice President, Finance & Controller

Mr. Leber joined JFLCO in 2018 and manages the firm’s treasury, finance and accounting functions.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Leber served as Vice President, Finance for Perpetual Capital Partners, an investment company focused on middle-market buyouts in multiple business sectors, as well as a variety of senior finance and accounting roles at both Fortune 500 and growth companies. Mr. Leber began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen.

A Virginia native, Mr. Leber earned a B.S. in Accounting with Distinction from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Leber is a Certified Public Accountant.

Stephanie Ng

Associate Director

Ms. Ng joined JFLCO in 1997. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ng worked in the fields of entertainment and law.

A native of New York, Ms. Ng graduated from New York University with a B.A. degree in Fine Arts.

Tyrone Horton

Administration

Mr. Horton joined JFLCO in 2011.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Horton served 24 years in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a First Sergeant.

A native of Ohio, Mr. Horton earned a B.A. in Security Management and a Masters in Management with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from American Military University.

May Ng

Administration

Ms. Ng joined JFLCO in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ng held senior administration positions for a variety of growth companies and investment firms, including ten years at D.E. Shaw & Co.

A native from Hong Kong, Ms. Ng graduated from Brandeis University where she earned a B.A. in American Literature.

Janet Pandolfo

Administration

Ms. Pandolfo joined JFLCO in 2018.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Pandolfo held senior administration positions for a variety of financial and investment firms over two decades, including five years working for the Chairman of MacAndrew’s and Forbes.

Sharnell Burgess

Administration

Ms. Burgess joined JFLCO in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Burgess was an Executive Assistant in the corporate real estate department at Barclays Investment Bank.

A native of New York, Ms. Burgess is currently an undergraduate at SUNY Empire State College majoring in Finance with a minor in Marketing.

Kathryn Carter

Senior Accountant

Ms. Carter joined JFLCO in 2014. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Carter worked in the accounting field for both the private and public sector.

A native of Texas, Ms. Carter holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Wayne State University.
